Treatex Matt Hardwax Oil
Christ Church in St Helens is engaged in the process of building for the future to make their church suitable for the 21st Century. The church needed to level its floors, permitting better access to the building by wheelchair users, create a screened area at the rear of the Church and also install a new, more flexible and environmentally friendly heating system.
Chaunceys supplied and fitted mixed widths of Engineered Tiger Oak (170/200mm wide), finished with hard-wearing Treatex matt hardwax oil. The new UFH system was worked out by consultations between Chaunceys Floor Fitting Services and the architects (Buttress Architects Ltd.). Tiger Oak has a beautiful, naturally occurring colour variation, due to the mingling of brown oak with normal coloured oak, which creates a stunning, naturally patterned floor. Chaunceys Tectonic Tiger Oak was perfect for use over the newly installed UFH system due to its stable construction of a 6mm Tiger Oak wear layer bonded to layers of birch plywood.
